The Fat Butcher has been one of our longer term tenants trading from our 37 Degrees Bebside Business Park since 2016. We have just through our mentoring programme taken the business to a further two Bricks and Mortar stores in 2020 providing not only the premises but also managing and funding the full fit out. This increased the turnover by approximately 2m pa creating further employment and economies of scale. Bringing us into 2021 we took the Fat Butcher Online from our 37 Degrees New Hartley business Park, giving both support and investment. We are happy to announce that the business has grown from initially 20k pw to over 60k pw within the first 2 months of business.
Mr Tighes is another business operating from one of our business parks, the previous tenant decided that the uncertainty of the pandemic was too much to risk continuing going forward in 2020. We conducted a full refurbishment, constructed two external terraces and we are pleased to announce we were able to find another tenant and the success of the short trading period in 2020 has indicated our investment in the property and business was the right step forward. The tenant is looking forward to its reopening in April 2021.
Bijoux is a nationally recognised leisure brand appearing frequently on reality tv shows, the business was bought out of administration and we have supported the new owners giving guidance from acquisition to operation. The business traded successfully during the periods allowed to operate within the pandemic as we were able to be very reactive to the changes in trading styles. The business has undergone a refurbishment and is due to relaunch in May 2021.
This cosmetic company is an online partnership between 37 Degrees and a local instagram influencer. Fully funded by 37 Degrees and operated from one of our business parks the company is growing its online presence and expanding it product lines delivering cosmetics internationally. This exciting online business will be one of many 37 Degrees will be supporting in 2021.
The Fat Farmer was initially a pop up store operating from a container on one of our business parks opening a month into the pandemic. We are glad to announce that due to the success of the business it moved into a bricks and mortar store late in 2021 and is now going from strength to strength. This is the tenants first business venture and she has had the full support package from 37 Degrees from day 1.
